The Drum Lake base metal property is located in the Sioux Lookout District of Northwestern Ontario. The Company staked the property in June 2009 and owns 100% of the claims with no encumbrances.
The Drum Lake property comprises 2 claim blocks totaling 32 units (520 hectares). It is located approximately 10 kilometres south-southwest of the past producing Golden Patricia Mine which produced 860,000 tonnes grading 19.9 grams/tonne gold (0.58 oz/ton gold). The mine operated from 1988-1997 and was most recently operated by Barrick Gold who bought the mine from Lac Minerals in 1995.
The Drum Lake property covers ground where drilling in the early 1970's reported strong zinc values in one drill hole with no follow-up. The intercept suggests proximity to an exhalative centre and an acid sub volcanic. A number of untested airborne conductors are also present on the claims. Base metal mineralization in this type of setting warrants additional evaluation.
