Vancouver, BC - Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX-V: BYV) (FWB: B4N) (the "Company") announces that pursuant to the terms of a Property Option Agreement originally announced by news release dated December 7, 2006, it has issued 25,000 common shares and paid the sum of $20,000 to Rubicon Minerals Corp. The Company had been granted an option to earn a 100% interest, subject to a 2% net smelter return royalty, in Claim Block "C", consisting of 49 units (approximately 800 hectares) located in the Sifton Township, Rainy River District, Kenora Mining Division, NW Ontario.
In order to earn a 100% interest in the Block "C" Mineral Claim, the Company must make a final cash payment of $35,000 on or before November 14, 2010.
The common shares issued are subject to a four month hold period under applicable securities laws, and imposed by the TSX Venture Exchange, expiring March 3, 2010.
Bayfield Ventures Corp. is actively involved in the exploration for gold in Northwestern Ontario.
